Southern Indiana's state parks provide visitors with lots of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors! Stroll through Spring Mill's pioneer village and visit Indiana's newest state park, O'Bannon Woods

Spring Mill State Park
Grissom Memorial
Located within Spring Mill State Park, this memorial celebrates the life and accomplishments of Virgil "Gus" Grissom. This outstanding Hoosier, America's second man in space, died in a launch pad fire in 1967. Exhibits include his spacesuit and his space capsule, Gemini III.

Spring Mill Inn
Snuggled into a backdrop of stately oaks, this historic inn was constructed from native limestone during the late 1930s.The modern facilities include a full service dining room, gift shop, indoor/outdoor pool, game room, and conference rooms.

Spring Mill Pioneer Village
Situated within Spring Mill State Park, this restored village depicts life in the early 1800s. Villagers, in period dress, perform their daily chores as they interact with visitors. Buildings include an apothecary, meeting house, tavern, blacksmith shop, water-powered 3 story grist mill, and more.

Spring Mill State Park
1,319 acres of outdoor fun that includes hiking trails, swimming pool, campgrounds, guided boat tours into Twin Caves, a fishing lake, restored pioneer village, saddle barn with trail rides, playgrounds, picnic areas, shallow brooks, and lots of room for kids to run and romp. A family favorite!

Twin Caves
Spring Mill State Park is well-known for its underground streams, sinkholes, and caves. Twin Caves were formed by two collapsed sinkholes. A 20 minute guided boat tour provides visitors an opportunity to see blind crayfish, bats, and the endangered Northern blind cave fish.

O'Bannon Woods State Park
Nature Center and Pioneer Farmstead
The O'Bannon Woods Nature Center offers naturalist programs and various exhibits throughout the year. A mid 19th century farmstead, located behind the nature center, includes a restored, 3-story hay press that drops a 1,000 pound block of wood onto a pile of hay. Educational and fun! |

O'Bannon Woods State Park
Indiana's newest state park consists of 3,000 acres that border the Ohio River. Outdoor enthusists can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, fishing, boating, hunting, backpacking, camping, picnicning, and naturalist services.

Lincoln State Park
Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial
Commemorating the Hoosier legacy of Abraham Lincoln, this memorial features a Visitor Center with museum and hourly film, the Lincoln Cabin Site, the gravesite of Lincoln's mother, the historic Trail of Twelve Stones, and the Lincoln Living Historical Farm. Don't miss this moving tribute to our 16th president!

Lincoln Pioneer Village and Museum
Just minutes from Lincoln State Park, this replicated pioneer village consists of 14 log cabins filled with Lincoln history. They include a replica Lincoln cabin and a replica of the Pigeon Baptist Church. The museum houses a cupboard made by Lincoln's father, a dress worn by his sister, a 1598 Bible, and much more!

Lincoln State Park
Established in 1932, this 1,747 acre park is a memorial to Nancy Hanks Lincoln, mother of our 16th president. Recreational facilities include Lake Lincoln, a nature center, hiking trails, swimming beach, family cabins, picnic shelters, camping, and more. Lincoln State Park is a fun and educational experience for all ages!

Caves
Marengo Cave U.S. National Landmark
Creating wonderful family memories since 1883, the cave offers two walking tours, gemstone mining, the Maze Crawl, a gift shop, walking trails, picnic grounds, and more. Friendly, knowledgeable guides interpret its delicate formations and immense passageways. Open year round.

Squire Boone Caverns
Discovered by Daniel Boone's brother in 1790, this cavern has spectacular formations, rushing streams, and underground waterfalls. Families will enjoy the water powered grist mill, rock shop, petting zoo, gem mining, demonstrations of candle dipping & soap making, and more.
